SDCC: More on the Weta Gollum Statue!

While we were one of the first sites to report that this statue is likley NOT a part of the upcoming Characters line from Weta Collectibles, other sites have followed suit and continue to bring us new information (and IMAGES) about this statue. Gollum will open for pre-orders sometime in August (once we recover from Comic Con!)And we will have an exclusive Weta Cave edition available very soon (TheGD: rumored to include the WETA Spider/Bug as part of the statue). This Gollum statue was originally created with our Weta Cave visitors in mind. It is the number one requested item by visitors / tourists to Middle-earth (New Zealand).
With regard to the "Miniature line", we are still open to suggestions and ideas.

Sounds like they aren't anywhere close to releasing anything from a new "Miniature line".
